Jeffrey Vu is a dedicated leader shaping his community through education, mentorship, and advocacy. As a mentor with Big Brothers & Big Sisters and a leader in cultural initiatives at Walnut Grove Secondary, he fosters inclusivity and understanding. His role in the BC and Fraser Youth Parliaments amplifies youth voices, while his work with Dear Asian Youth and other nonprofits raises awareness of global issues.

VYPER- Visionary Youth Peers for Equity & Revitalization

Innovative Initiative

Visionary Youth Peers for Equity & Revitalization -VYPER was Founded in 2022. They are a youth-led movement dedicated to empowering Indigenous youth through leadership, community connection, and cultural resurgence. From hosting the ‘Reclaiming Youth’ Pow Wow to fostering language preservation and traditional sports, VYPER is bridging generations and communities. Their impact extends beyond events—challenging systemic barriers and inspiring the next wave of Indigenous leaders. Revitalize. Resurge. Reclaim!

Purple Lights Nights Committee

Diversity in Marketing

Purple Lights Nights Committee impactful campaign brings much needed awareness about intimate partner violence. This dedicated group shines a light on the issue throughout October in Abbotsford and Mission. By collaborating with key community partners, including local police, victim services, and outreach programs, the Purple Lights Nights Committee educates and raises awareness, creating a united front to prevent intimate partner violence. Their efforts, such as the ‘Community Walk’ and participation in the MCC Fall Fair, bring vital resources to the forefront, fostering change and support.
